Course Description 

GPP301/P – LEADERSHIP AND PEER SUPPORT – (OPEN) – 281

Prerequisite – GLC 201 – (Open)

Please note: Students who choose this course must participate in a screening process. (These students must be hard working, responsible, independent workers who have maintained good attendance so far during high school.) This course prepares and encourages students to provide leadership and assistance to others in a classroom/school situation. Students will develop skills in communication, interpersonal relations, leadership, teamwork, and conflict management, and will apply these skills in their tutoring and mentoring of students in their in-class placements. Students will also learn the value of social diversity while acquiring an appreciation of the importance of contributing to their communities and helping others through their lives.
