 LEVELS OF SUPPORT
  • IDENTIFIED STUDENTS IN REGULAR CLASSES  (REGULAR CLASS WITH INDIRECT OR WITHDRAWAL SUPPORT)
  • GRADES 9 & 10 STUDENTS TAKE COURSES AT THE ACADEMIC, APPLIED, ESSENTIALS ANDOPEN LEVELS
  • GRADES 11 & 12  STUDENTS TAKE COURSES AT THE UNIVERSITY, COLLEGE, WORKPLACE OR OPEN LEVELS

SUPPORT
  • students are supported in class utilizing accommodations stated on their IEP ( Individual Education Plan)
  • students are supported in regular classrooms at times by an Educational Assistant or a Peer Tutor
  • students are also supported on a withdrawal basis in the Resource Room
  • at all times students are encouraged to develop self advocacy skills and to become independent
  • each student will be assigned to a Resource teacher who will be responsible for developing the student’s IEP, ensuring that accommodations are in place and communicating with regular class teachers
