Winter Clothing Drive for Northern First Nation Communities |
|
This board-wide Social Action Project invites staff, students and families to learn about circumstances and living conditions in many northern First Nation communities, and to donate new or gently-used, clean winter outerwear and small fleece blankets. This initiative is supported by the DDSB Aboriginal Education, Safe Schools and Equity, Diversity, Race-Relations Departments in partnership with the Ontario Provincial Police Aboriginal Policing Bureau, who will distribute the donated items to northern First Nation communities in need. We are all working together to ‘Build a Culture of Caring Communities in Our Schools’.
Donations may be made from January 17 – February 7, 2012 and must be new or gently-used, clean and in good condition. The only items being accepted are winter coats, jackets, snow pants, boots, hats, scarves, mitts and small fleece blankets.

Join the Girls' Fitness Club |

Get in shape or stay in shape by joining the Fitness Club that runs most Mondays and Wednesdays after school from 3:30 - 4:30. We meet in gym C. Bring your running shoes, water bottle and towel and get ready to sweat!!! See Ms. Daniels' page for the monthly schedule.
